

Carolynn was born on February 24, 1941, in Augusta Maine, to Mary and Alpheus McRoberts. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, where she spent nearly her entire life building deep roots and lifelong friendships.
Though born Ruth Carolynn, she was known by her middle name, Carolynn, to everyone who knew and loved her. She carried a quiet strength, kindness, and devotion to those around her that shaped the lives of many.
In 1966, she married the love of her life, Neil Schnitzer. Their marriage spanned just short of 60 wonderful years, built on love, commitment, and a shared dedication to their family. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and generous support of their children and grandchildren.
Carolynn dedicated her life to being a loving wife and devoted stay-at-home mother, believing that caring for her family was one of life’s greatest callings. Her home was always a welcoming place where family and friends gathered for lasting memories.
Carolynn was a strong believer with a deep faith in Christ, which guided the way she lived her life and cared for others. She enjoyed teaching bible studies, attending church, gardening and spending time with her family. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Neil Schnitzer, and their four children: Aaron, Julie, Mark, and Jennifer. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Sheree, Christopher, Daniel (deceased), Zechariah, Hannah, Jesse, Luke, Nathan, Abigail, Kris Ryan, Emily, and Alex, as well as 13 great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love.
She is also survived by her brother Myron McRoberts. Carolynn was preceded in death by her brother Alpheus McRoberts and her sister Cynthia Smith.
Carolynn will be remembered as an amazing mother, devoted wife, and woman whose life was centered on her Faith, family and mentoring others. Her kindness, devoutness, and love will live on through the many lives she touched.
An interment service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Lawn, 2300 W Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ 85009. 9:00am.
A memorial service celebrating Carolynn’s life will be held at Palmcroft Church, 15825 N 35th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85053. 10:30am.
Though she is no longer with us, Carolynn’s set an example for everyone of the life she built with her family will continue to guide those who knew and loved her for generations to come.
