Sarah Jene “Sally” Clouser (née Brandow), age 82, passed away on July 18, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on June 29, 1943, in New London, Wisconsin, she brought warmth and laughter to those around her throughout her life.
Sarah was a woman of resilience and spirit. As a child, she bravely battled polio and later endured a chronic lung disease for several years with strength and determination. Despite these challenges, she lived life with humor and heart, becoming known for her quick wit and unmistakably “sarcastic” sense of humor that endeared her to many.
She had a natural gift for connecting with people—Sarah would talk to anyone and easily made friends wherever she went. Her circle of friends was wide, and she remained an active member of her church community throughout her life. She found joy in simple pleasures: chatting on the phone with friends and family, staying close to home, and especially giving thoughtful Christmas and birthday gifts to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sarah had a passion for shopping—particularly bargain hunting—and was an avid antique dealer who delighted in searching for unique treasures to sell. Her love for antiques reflected her appreciation for stories and history, much like the one she created through her own vibrant life.
As a young mother raising three children, Sarah earned the title of the “fun Mom,” infusing their lives with playfulness and creativity. Family remained at the center of her world throughout the years.
She is survived by her devoted husband Howard; daughter Tammy; son Danny; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first son Scott; grandson Brandon; former husband Kerry; sister Peggy; mother Beatrice; and father Walter.
Sarah’s legacy lives on in the memories of those who knew her—as a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, a spirited conversationalist, and someone who could always find humor even in life’s hardest moments.
May Sarah Clouser’s memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Orangewood Community Church 3710 W Orangewood Ave. Luncheon will follow immediately after the service.
