Stephan Michael Levitt

Stephan Michael Levitt, 38, of Phoenix passed away suddenly on August 21, 2016. Stephan was born October 25, 1977 in Rochester, NY to Stephan Martin and Donna (formerly, Monachino) Levitt . His early childhood years were spent in New Hampshire, where he did well in school and enjoyed participating in sports. Some of the special memories for his family include watching him play baseball, a sport in which he excelled. He remained active throughout his life and kept the same exercise routine as his father. In 1990 he moved to Phoenix, where he would attend Arizona State University and earn his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. He worked for many years as a long term disability claims adjustor at Liberty Mutual. He was known for his work ethic and dedication to his job. He often checked in with his out of town family members by phone; perhaps due in part to his aversion to flying. He could always be counted on to return calls. He was such an enthusiastic conversationalist, when Stephan called your part included more listening than speaking. He will be remembered as a witty and intelligent person, who enjoyed conversing with his family and friends.Stephan was a dedicated Cardinals fan, a passion that he shared with his Mother. He would spend many Sundays during football season texting and calling his mother with updates and running commentary when the Cardinals were playing. Football season will never be the same, but she will feel Stevie’s spirit each time the Cardinal’s play.Stephan is survived by his father, Stephan Martin Levitt and his wife Deborah; his mother, Donna M Westover and her husband Dean B.; his 2 sisters Michelle Patch and Tammy Carver; 2 brothers, David and Scott Levitt; and his 9 nieces and nephews, Alex, Ethan, Sydney and Max Carver, Julia and Chloe Patch, and Jennifer, Dante, and Malina Levitt. His life will be celebrated at a visitation, Friday, August 26, 2016 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Services Saturday, August 27, 2016, 11:00am, both at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022.
