Stephanie-Anne Marie Catania

Stephanie-Anne Marie Catania was born on November 18, 1988, and left this world on June 16, 2011. She was born in Glendale, AZ, to Parents Lonnie and Cori Catania and was raised by Paternal Grandparents Ellen and Richard Stender in Phoenix, AZ. Stephanie graduated with honors from Polaris High School in 2006 as Class Salutatorian. She was employed by Sunrise Day Care Center in North Phoenix, AZ. Stephanie enjoyed working with and teaching young children and all the time she spent with them. Her hobbies included camping, listening to music, family get togethers (especially dining out), quiet time at the lake, spending time with friends and relatives and road trips. Stephanie was an animal persona and especially loved her dog Marley. She was a gentle, loving and compassionate soul. Stephanie is survived by brother Lonnie Catania, sister Rebeka Catania of Phoenix, AZ and sisters Rhiannon and Casey Dykes of Friendsville, TN, grandparents Richard and Ellen, mother Cori Catania, grandmother Jean Smith and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephanie was preceded in death this year by her father, Lonnie E. Catania and her great-grandmother, Joyce L. Prill. A Celebration of Stephanie's Life will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ.
