Stephen Gerard Ramirez

Stephen Gerard Ramirez-cherished son, husband, father and brother passed away on March 19th, 2021 at the age of 62. Throughout his brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer, Steve maintained his sense of humor and positivity and could always be found with a smile on his face. Born on March 12, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona. Steve attended Carl Hayden High School, graduating in 1978. Steve worked for US Foodservice for 28 years as a driver. Steve was a hardworking, dedicated employee who greatly enjoyed his job and interacting with all his customers. He is preceded in death by his father; Pete V. Ramirez and brother; David James Ramirez. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tara, his daughters; Emileigh and Trisha and son Stephen II, three grandchildren; Gabriel, Jonathan and Mia, his mother; Adelaide, brother Peter and sister Linda. On the weekends, Steve could be found surrounded by his loved ones, barbequing steaks in his backyard. Steve enjoyed watching sports and was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Steve was a huge animal lover, especially when it came to his three dogs Max, Ruby and Berkley. He was even known to keep a stash of dog food in his truck to feed any stray animal he came across. Steve was a hardworking man with a strong spiritual background. He loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. Although we will always wish we had more time with you, we find comfort in knowing you now rest peacefully in the arms of God. Always and forever. Services will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E Greenway Rd. in Phoenix. Visitation will begin at 10:00 with a Rosary at 10:30 followed by Mass at 11:00.
