

Tamyra Lynn Vega, age 63, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on August 4, 2025. Born on July 23, 1962, in Phoenix, Arizona, Tamyra lived a life filled with love, service, and devotion to her family and faith.
Tamyra graduated from Harlingen High School in Harlingen, Texas, and pursued higher education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. On June 7, 1986, she married her beloved husband, Wilson Vega, and together they built a life rooted in love and shared values. Tamyra was a dedicated homemaker who poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing home. She was an active assistant Girl Scout leader, inspiring young girls with her kindness and guidance. Her passion for cats brought joy to her life, and she was often found caring for her furry companions. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tamyra served a mission in Raleigh, North Carolina, and lived her faith with unwavering commitment, touching countless lives with her generosity and compassion.
Tamyra is survived by her loving husband, Wilson Vega; her parents, Stan and Detta Jackson; her brothers, David (Lori) Jackson, Steven (Maria) Jackson, Carlos (Kaci) Jackson, and Michael (Leah) Jackson; and her sister, AnnaMarie Jackson. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 9:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 10930 W. Garden Lakes Parkway, Avondale, AZ 85323. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery, 12525 NW. Grand Ave., El Mirage, AZ 85335. A luncheon will follow the interment at the same building where the funeral was held. In lieu of flowers, Tamyra would have appreciated donations to the Arizona Humane Society in her memory.
