Teresa Cavazos was a proud member of the Red Cross for over 20 years. She loved helping people and making a difference by having a job that really mattered. She also studied Respiratory Therapy and worked in that field for many years.
She leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie Vivian Stetz, her grandson, Declan James Stetz, her sisters Mary and Rita, as well as her beloved cousin Gloria Rodriguez, who always made sure to check in on her even from Texas, as well as many other beloved Texas family members. She is predeceased by her partner of almost 25 years Vivian Cruz Robles, whom all who know her know she is happy to be reunited with, as well as her parents, Carol and Manuel Cavazos, many siblings including sisters Bodi, Sherry, and brothers Joe, Johnny, and Nick. And let us not forget her beloved Aunt JoAnn who died from the same disease.
She was a proud lesbian woman, and pioneered rights for gays and lesbians alike. She was fierce, she was proud, and she was altruistic. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rest in Peace Teresa Sue Cavazos.
