

Reverend Thermon Williamson, 89, was born August 3rd, 1927 in Gadsden, Ala-bama, and passed from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 at 1:30 pm in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22nd, 2017, Dream City Church, Children’s Pavilion, 13613 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85022 at 10:30 am. Viewing is prior to the service.
Thermon was one of three sets of twins. Thermon was a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God for 36 years. Thermon retired from Garrett Turbine Engine Company (now Honeywell), in Phoenix, Arizona after 34 years of services as a Quality Engineer, Supervisor and Inspector. He taught college classes at Mesa Community College. Thermon traveled as an evangelist in Arizona, California, and Texas, and he ministered in Assemblies of God churches as Associate Pastor, Inter-im Pastor, Christian Education Director, Choir Director, Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher for 50 years, deacon and trustee.
For over 20 years, Pastor Thermon and his wife, Darlene, organized the church’s food ministry and delivered thousands of pounds of food each year to churches, pastors, friends, neighbors, homeless, and food distribution centers all over Phoe-nix. For the last two years, the Williamson family has been involved with Mom’s Pantry, Dream City Church.
Pastor Thermon was preceded in death by his parents: Lonnie Bert and Rosa Velt Williamson; his wife of 66 years, Darlene (Utterback) Williamson; his only son, Pas-tor Ron Williamson; brothers, Robert and Hermon Williamson; and sisters, Mary Williamson, Margaret Miller and Mildred Cornutt.
Survivors include his three grandsons and their wives: Pastor Brett and Melody Williamson, Brian and Justina Williamson, and Brad and Michelle Williamson; his daughter-in-law and caregiver: Reverend Elwanda (Ellie) Williamson; seven great grandchildren: Faith, Drew, Rilynn, Makena, Luke, Caleb, Evan, and one more great grandson expected November 2017; and four nephews, six nieces, and their extend-ed families.
