

Vanessa was a devoted mother to her daughters and son In-Laws, Ava (Brandon) Mintz and Toni Ann (Joseph) Santa Maria Carara. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren—Quintin Padilla Jr. (AJ), Gianna Carara, and Xavier Mintz—who brought immense joy to her life. She held family close to her heart and cherished every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Veldhousen and her father James Towns. Their memories remained a guiding presence in her life.
Vanessa lived with a spiritual foundation that shaped her nurturing and selfless nature. Known for her generous spirit and radiant personality, she had a heart of gold that touched many lives. Whether through acts of kindness or simply offering a listening ear, Vanessa gave back to the community in meaningful ways.
Her passions included traveling to new places, cooking meals filled with love, and surrounding herself with family. She found joy in vibrant colors that matched the brightness of her spirit.
Vanessa’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering love. She leaves behind cherished memories with Mother Eula Towns, Sister Rhonda Towns Conrad, Brother James E Towns, Brother Mark (Monica) Towns and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
A Home Going Memorial Service will be held at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuaries, located at 710 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85013. The service will take place on November 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
