Vincente R. Garcia

Vicente “Chente” Garcia 85, was suddenly called to rest on May 15, 2017. Lovingly remembered by his Son’s and Daughter’s Mary Jaramillo, Vincent Garcia, Larry Garcia (Evelyn) Samuel Garcia (Maria) Lori Mason (Raymond), Christina Padilla (Louis) along with 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grand Children; Surviving siblings Abel Garcia and Mary Bean, and many close friends.

Vicente was born in Glendale and raised in Phoenix. In his early years he served during the Korean war as a Military Police Officer. He served his country proudly and honorably.

Vicente had passion for music which he enjoyed throughout his life singing and playing the guitar with family and friends. All knew him as a mild mannered, compassionate man that consistently put the interests of others above his, often telling entertaining stories with a lot of jokes which he loved sharing. He will be forever remembered and cherished as the great man that he was, our loss is the Lords gain.

Services will be held on Fri. June 2, 2017 from 10:00am-11:15am at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery 719 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, Az. 85009. Following the ceremony a reception will be held 12-3pm at the American Legion Hall Post #41 located at 715 S. 2nd Ave, Phoenix Az. Internment will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery 23029 North Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, Az.

As we pay our final respects to our Dad, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend please join us as we celebrate his life and bid him farewell into God's eternal rest.
