Virginia was born in 1929 in Kenosha Wisconsin and was brought to Phoenix when she was 16. She finished her high school years at Phoenix Union High School. In 1974 Virginia was employed by Camelback Inn as an assistant pastry chef. During that time she exemplified perfection in her pastries and many wedding cakes. In retirement she enjoyed traveling the world with her friends and volunteering for many charities. She served her Lord in many ways. She was caring and compassionate, always giving of herself to those in need.
Virginia loved her Lord and her church. She enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with her friends. She was especially pleased when someone commented on her varied desserts that she brought to those game days and evenings. She will be missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by her four children, Linda Dalton (Larry), John Gilmore (Kathleen), Lela Fellars (Dewey) and Ron Gilmore, seven wonderful grandchildren and four great-children.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Scottsdale Bible’s Chapel. The Chapel is located three blocks east of the main campus at 7901 East Shea Boulevard.
