Wade Owen Vaughn Jr.

On Sunday April 23, 2023 Wade Owen Vaughn Jr. passed away peacefully, at the age of 66, after his battle with cancer. Wade was born on a Military base in Turkey. He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Washington High School, where he met Margaret Borek. They had one son, Wade Owen Vaughn III. Wade is survived by his son, Owen Vaughn; his sister, Denise Edwards; his brother, Marshall Vaughn; his cousin, Wendy Fitzpatrick; and by many beloved nephews and extended family.

A limb has fallen from the Family Tree that says, “Grieve not for me.” Remember the best of times, the laughter, the songs, the good life I lived while I was strong. Wade always had a smile, took everything in stride, and would give you the shirt off his back. Wade loved talking to people; neither retirement nor back pain would keep him from going to work at Rosati’s Pizza where he was around people he cared about. Wade was a jokester and loved a good laugh. Wade loved football; the Dallas Cowboys was his team, no doubt. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for all of the teams from the “Valley of the Sun.” He will dwell in our hearts and memories forever.
