

Walter Ross Labadie, 63, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by his loving family. Ross was born on February 15, 1952 in Detroit, MI to Dr. William and Ursula Labadie. After graduating from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1970, Ross became trained as a mechanic and worked for many years selling trucks for local dealerships. In 2007 he began work with the City of Phoenix as a Equipment Control Specialist, supporting the Phoenix Fire Department, Solid Waste Field Services, Parks Department, and other departments within the City of Phoenix on equipment purchases. Ross loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and volunteering at the Phoenix Police Dept. Ross is survived by his best friend and ex-wife, Monica Labadie; children, Michelle Collins (Craig), April Labadie, and Jesse Labadie (Liz); grandchildren, Alyssa, Brandon and Paige; brothers, William Labadie (Terry), Peter Labadie (Jackie) and Michael Labadie (Michele); and over 60 cousins. His parents preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85027.
