

William Maupin Peyton, age 88, of Scottsdale Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on January 5th, 1932 to the late Russell and Amanda Peyton in Richmond Kentucky, he attended Madison High School and then served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles, graduating class of 1957; then furthered his education at University of Southern California obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree. He also attended the Harvard Graduate School for the 83rd Advanced Management Program in 1983. On September 8th, 1956 he married Margaret Christine Dahl in The Little Brown Church in the Valley in Studio City California. They just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. William worked as an Executive Vice President for Lockheed Air Terminal. After retiring early at age 55, he opened-up a Round Table Pizza franchise in Burbank California with his wife and family. He was a member of The National Association of Accountants and volunteered for The Desert Botanical Gardens as well as other volunteer outfits. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, running, and was involved in various roles with the churches he attended. William is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret “Peg”; 3 children, Michael, Stephen, and John, and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his twin sisters Elizabeth and Evelyn, and brother Russell. He will be dearly missed. Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday October 3rd, 2020, at Christ Anglican Church, 35500 N. Cave Creek Road, Carefree, AZ 85377.
