She was born in Hoiping, of the Guangdong Province in China, on August 1, 1926. She was married to Kam Kong Tang in 1946, and they were blessed with seven children. They sacrificed diligently in order to move the family to the United States in 1968, so that their family would experience the opportunities to prosper and enjoy the freedoms that America had to offer. She considered the privilege of moving to the United States as the happiest moment of her life.
Yuet Ling and her husband were restaurant owners in Phoenix for decades, and they were members of various Chinese associations. She was a dedicated member of her church; she was baptized by the late Pastor Simon Tsoi in 1999. She loved her family and cherished gatherings while enjoying good meals. While she loved sewing, cooking and gardening, it was of great pleasure to her to bless others with her finished products. Helping relatives was a priority to her, as she took extreme measures and sacrifices to help out family back in the ‘old country.’ The Lord blessed her with the joys of traveling to Asia, Alaska, France, Hawaii, Jamaica, Caribbeans and Mexico, of which many were through cruises.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1998, her daughter Kam Chu Tang Szeto in 2004 and her spouse Harry Szeto in 2019, and her daughter Sue Fong Tang Leung in 2011. Yuet Ling is survived by son John Tang (Arizona), daughter Sue Ping Kiang (Florida), son Tony Tang and spouse Virginia (Arizona), son James Tang and spouse Rose (California), and daughter Sau Fong Tang O’Fallon and spouse Michael (Florida). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren (two with spouses), two great grandchildren, and relatives through marriage: Wai San Tsang Szeto, Kenny and Winnie Leung.
