Betty Ann was born in Royston, GA on November 17, 1947 to the late Richard Cleveland and Mary Lizzie Nelms Royston. She worked for both the Ellison Plant and Glen Raven as a weaver. Betty Ann loved to shop and enjoyed dining at her favorite restaurant: Applebees. Everyone was always welcome in her home and you could always find her spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Later in life, she became a housekeeper for both the Magnolias in Greenville and Manna Health and Rehabilitation in Pickens.
Betty Ann is survived by her two children: Danny Emery (Angie) of Easley and Melissa Hall (Jason) of Pickens; a bonus son: Larry Royston of Easley; her five grandchildren: Ashley Duncan (Bryson), Aubrey Emery, Hannah Goodwin (Dalton), Austin Hall, and Emily Hall; two great-grandchildren: Dallas Duncan and Addison Goodwin; and four surviving siblings: Rebecca Hergner, Hazel Lea, Larry Royston, and Darlene Trent. Ms. Aiken is also survived by numerous family, extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty Ann was preceded in death by five siblings: Rachel Darley, Joyce McGrath, Charles Royston, Sarah Watkins, and James Royston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Dillard Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Melissa and Jason Hall.
