His loving wife of 33 years, Sandy Reece, was at his side when he entered the Lord’s kingdom in heaven. Daniel Reece was 68 years old. Daniel (Dan) Lee Reece was born in Greenville, SC, on January 30, 1957. Dan’s parents were Arthur N. Reece and Fannie M. Reece of Greenville, SC. Dan was an only child and was loved deeply by his parents. Dan had one daughter, Laci Peterson, from his first marriage. Dan married the love of his life, Sandy Leona Reece, on September 14, 1992. Dan worked for 3M in Greenville, SC, for 34 years until he retired 6 years ago. Dan devoted his retirement to spending time with his beloved wife, Sandy, enjoying his grandchildren, spending time with his cherished dogs, and living in his beautiful mountain home. Dan loved the outdoors and worked often in his yard. He also had a passion for classic and hot rod cars, especially his 1969 Chevy Nova.
Dan is survived by his wife, Sandy Leona Reece; daughter, Laci Peterson, husband Ronnie Peterson of Simpsonville, SC; stepson, Brad Mullinax, wife Lindsay and step-grandchildren Harper and Levi of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Hailey Clardy of Rock Hill, Aiden Daley of Dacusville, SC, Easton Daley of Dacusville, SC, and Zoey Wagner of Dacusville; Brother-in-law Randy Cater, wife Sherry of Greenville, SC, and sister-in-law Gwen Cater Stone, husband Timmy of Greenville, SC.
His beloved wife, Sandy Reece, stated, “Dan was the best husband and, of course, the best papa ever.” Dan Lee Reece will be missed by many, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:50AM in the Garden Room.
