David Lee Chappell

David was born in Six Mile, South Carolina, on April 1,1949 to the late Roy Sr. and Rosa Lee Porter Chappell. He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David loved to be outside fishing, decorating for Christmas, or going to auctions. He also enjoyed pulling pranks on people, making people laugh, dancing, and baking cakes.

David is survived by three daughters: Detra Fipps (David), Deanna Iorio, Anna Davis (Pete); three grandchildren: Nathaniel Davis, Kelsey Iorio, and Justin Iorio; his significant other: Donna Shelton; two sisters: Yvonne Blackwell and Barbara Childs; and one brother Billy Chappell.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife Anna Chappell; a brother: Roy Chappell Jr.; and one sister: Jeanette Chappell.

Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday April 6, 2025 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 PM in the Garden Room.

Burial will follow the service at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Pickens.
