

Dudley Clinton “Doug” Crenshaw, 84, husband of Brenda Coker Crenshaw went home to be with the Lord and his beloved son, Sgt. Toby Crenshaw on Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Crenshaw was born in Oconee County, a son of the late John Thode and Doshia Crooks Crenshaw. He was a member of Fairview Community Church. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division.
Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a life member and past commander of VFW Post 5730 and a life member of the D.A.V. Alvin Wilson Chapter 1 and a member of The American legion Post 3.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Brenda Crenshaw of the home, and their daughter, Tammy W. Standridge and husband Kenneth of Liberty. Three grandsons, Lee Davis and wife Sarah of Pickens, Jonathan Crenshaw and Austin Crenshaw both of Pickens. Two great grandchildren, Carson Paige Davis and Wyatt Toby Lee Davis, also a daughter-in-law Kimberly Crenshaw and a special friend to the family Lisa Gilstrap.
Mr. Crenshaw was predeceased by two sons, Marine Sgt. Toby Crenshaw who died February 17, 2014, an infant son William David Crenshaw and two infant daughters, Rebecca Ann Crenshaw and Betty Kay Crenshaw and a great grandbaby, Baby Davis. He is also predeceased by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Monday, January 19, 2015 at Fairview Community Church, 332 Ebenezer Road, West Union with Pastor Perry and Pam Sanders with music provided by a very dear friend Beverly Robinson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Immediately following the burial, everyone will meet in the fellowship building at the church.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his primary care physician Dr. Sheila Roundtree and Hospice of The Upstate, especially Beverly Hopkins and Kristie Mahaffey.
