

Elizabeth B. Phillips Greenville – Elizabeth Beatrice Rooker Phillips, 91, widow of RM Phillips passed from this life and crossed “over the golden shore” Monday, November 2, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Augustine, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Burleigh Davidson and Leila Mae Daniel Rooker.
Mrs. Phillips was an active member of Crosswell First Baptist Church in Greenville where she cooked and taught Sunday school for many years.She was retired as a weaver from The Dunean Plant of J.P. Stevens Company after 50 years service.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, JoAnne Phillips (Charles) Ducker of Greenville; a son, Randall M. (Virginia) Phillips; Grandchildren, Pam Wilson, Neil Phillips, Jesse Bradberry and Shane Ducker; Great-Grandchildren, Savanah Balsiger, Ashley Bradberry and Sabrina Wilson; a sister, Shirley Rooker Chambers of Easley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Phillips was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy E. Bradberry; brothers, James P. “Cozy” Rooker, William A. Rooker, Ervin Rooker, B. Ishmael Rooker, Walter L. Rooker, Joseph Rooker and Richard Bentley; sisters Esther Jean Stewart, Geraldine Rooker, Mary Alice Pritchard and Jesse Mae Holden.
The family would like to express their thanks to Gail and Bill Ramey for the special care they offered to Mrs. Phillips.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 2 until 3:30pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 3:30 PM.
Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens Mausoleum III.
The family is at their respective homes.
