Mrs Hudson was born in Pickens County, SC on March 27, 1933 to the late Grady Freeman and Sadie Edens Chappell. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and Lady's Sunday school class in Pickens. Mrs. Hudson loved to help out and attend events at the Pickens Senior Center, along with reading and sewing. She was proud to be a Homemaker and take care of her family, and later in life she worked in the cafeteria for Pickens County School District for ten years. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
She is survived by two daughters: Diana "Diane" Hudson Bolding (Wesley) and Jennifer "Jenny" Hudson Monday(Ron); four grandchildren: John Wesley Bolding II (Adrianne), Sarah LeeAnn Bolding, Amber Eileene Hudson, and Thomas John Hudson; three great-grandchildren; Alayah Camdyn-Ruth Bolding, Avery Quinn Bolding, Grayson John Bolding: and very special Fur-grand: Sadie Grace. two brothers:Brackett Chappell and J.R. Chappell; four sisters: Doris Bryant, Sybil Wade, Lois Granger, Barbara Welborn.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her beloved son, Travis John Hudson.
A chapel service will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Dillard Funeral home. There will be a visitation held prior in the Garden room from 1:00 to 1:45.
Burial will take place following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make donations to Concord Baptist Church in Pickens, located at 723 Concord Church Rd, Pickens, SC 29671.
