

Easley - Grace Nix Davis, 93, widow of Marshall Clarence Davis, passed from this life on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Mrs. Davis was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ulysses E. and Lou Annie Monroe Nix. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Mrs. Davis was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from private duty nursing. Survivors include a son, Gary W. Davis (Theairl) of Easley, daughters, Ruth Blackston (Clifton) of Greenville, and Ruby Albertson (Weldon) of Easley. Also surviving are grandchildren, Greg Davis (Mandy), Brantley Davis (Charline), Karen Anderson (Clifford), Barry Blackston, MD (Maree), and Kevin Blackston (Lisa). Great grandchildren include Justin Davis (Brittany), Josh Davis, Cruz Davis (Jessica), Brooke Davis, Tyler Davis, Niklaus Davis, Carson Sok, Dane Ver Napuecas, Mayden Blackston, Scottie Blackston, and Kyle Anderson and great great grandchildren, Bella Ard and Chloe Davis and a dear friend of the family, Phyllis Lindsay. Mrs. Davis was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with eulogy offered by her grandson Barry Blackston, MD and service officiated by her great grandson Reverend Justin Davis and Dr. Royce Addis. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
