

Jerry was born in Easley, South Carolina on November 9, 1937 to the late Jacob and Winfred Stewart. He enjoyed being outdoors and would spend time fishing, boating, and coon hunting. Jerry loved his family, and especially loved playing with his grandkids. He was a member of Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. Hostetler is survived by his loving wife of 63 years: Sara Hostetler; one son: Donnie Hostetler of Iva; two daughters: Jerri Smith (Kent) of Greer and Tena Ashe (Keith) of Cosby TN; two brothers: Tilson Hostetler and Jerome Hostetler; two sisters: Patricia Benton and Pam Conejo; 4 adopted brother and sisters: Charles Brooks (Tammy), Gail Burrell, Martha Wilson, Norma Fortner (Bill), Mark Brooks; 5 grandchildren: Tracy Hostetler (Jenny), Travis Hostetler, Chasity Robinson (Adam), Amanda Green (Patrick), Ameris Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren: Hailey Landreth, Carson Durham, Megan Duncan, Cameron Green, Gracie Hostetler, Cameron Hostetler, Kailey Landreth, Karson Frick, Kyler Hostetler, Pressley Hostetler, Tinsley Green.
In addition to his birth parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one son: Bryon Hostetler; and his loving adopted parents: Ray and Margaret Brooks; a adopted brother: Steve Brooks.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.
