The Reverend Julian Ross LeRoy, 81, husband of Barbara Hawkins LeRoy went home to be with The Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016. Reverend LeRoy was born in Oconee County, the oldest of seven children to the late John T. and Ida Irene Sluder LeRoy.
He was retired from Jacobs Chuck Manufacturing at Clemson and was a minister of the Gospel with The Church of God. Reverend LeRoy served the church in areas of evangelism, pastoral work, and music. He held pastorates in Indiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas and formerly served Salem Church of God as Pastor.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara, of the home, brothers, Gene LeRoy (Glenda) of Juliet, GA, J. T. LeRoy (Kathy) of Beech Island, SC, The Reverend Doug LeRoy (Wanda) of Cleveland, TN, and sisters, Velta Toole of Uvalda, GA and Linda Gale Ashley (Carl Dean) of North Augusta, SC. In addition to his parents, Reverend LeRoy was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hand.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
