June Marilyn Black

Born on October 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Seth Dorr and Nina Garren Dorr. She retired after 32 years as an elementary school teacher in Florida shaping the minds of the children she taught. After her move to South Carolina, she attended West End Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health declined. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and had a passion for reading and sewing.

Marilyn is survived by David and Lisa Cassell whom she referred to as her children adopted in love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five husbands: Clinton Cook, Ernest Anthony, Sylvester Kolarik, Merton Dungerow, and Charles Black; sister, Linda D. Williams; brothers, Stanley Dorr and Eric Dorr.

A viewing for Marilyn will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at Dillard Funeral Home, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:30 pm, at West End Baptist Church, 120 Mission Dr, Easley, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Camp of West End Baptist Church, 120 Mission Dr, Easley, SC 29642.
