Larry was born in Liberty to the late Waco and Eva Lee Turner.
Larry served in the US Navy and was a faithful member of Secona Baptist Church for over 40 years. During his working life he was an engineering technician and a volunteer firefighter. His hobbies included amatuer radio operator and yard work.
Larry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia Turner; his son Scott Turner; and his son Stan Turner (Holly); his granddaughter Heather Rose Turner; and his brother David Turner. Larry also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. He also leaves his beloved boston terrier JJ whom he loved very much.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Turner; his brother Preston Turner and his sister Helen Randall.
A graveside service for Larry will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, South Carolina 29671.
