Mr. Leroy Leopard

Leroy Leopard Pickens, SC Leroy Leopard, 73, of Allgood Bridge Road, husband of Carolyn Springfield Leopard, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Dorn Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Beulah Leopard Crain. Mr. Leopard was self-employed. He was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, member of the Keowee Masonic Lodge #79 A.F.M., former member of the Brandon Masonic Lodge #279 A.F.M., a Shriner, and a US Army Veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne Division. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stewart Leopard of the home; a daughter, Stacy Leopard Reece and her husband, Travis of Pickens; a granddaughter, Lauren Reece; two sisters, Helen Smathers of Canton, NC and Alma Gosnell of Spartanburg; and two brothers, James Buford Crain of Sevierville, TN and Freddie Crain of Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
