Ms. McRae was born in Oconee County on August 29, 1950 to the late William J. and Martha Marie Thompkins Oakley. She worked as a secretary for the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, then later for the Easley Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful and loving Mother and Nana, and her grandchildren were the biggest joy in her life.
Ms. McRae is survived by her daughter: Candice Kay and husband Travis of Piedmont; two grandchildren: Carson Kay and Chandler Kay, both of Piedmont; and a brother: Eddie Oakley of Massachusetts.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
