Liberty - Mrs. Lois Medlin Watson, 76, of Liberty, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 after a brief illness at the home of her great niece, Jennifer W. Richeson (Kyle) in Townville, SC. Lois was the widow of David L. Watson and the daughter of the late Claude and Etta Swords Medlin.
Lois graduated from Liberty High School in 1963. She and David traveled extensively during his 22 year career in the Air Force, living in Africa and Haiti, as well as numerous other places throughout the United States.
Mrs. Watson is survived by two sisters: Elizabeth M. Dodson of Norris, SC and Sarah M. Burns of Liberty, SC; two brothers: J.D. Medlin and Guy Medlin, both of Norris, SC; a sister-in-law: Margie Weems Medlin of Norris, SC; two special nieces: Dianne D. Winkler of Liberty, SC and Doris D. Smith (Van) of Easley, SC; along with many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by a brother: Roy Medlin.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens. No formal visitation is planned.
The family will be at their respective homes.
