Easley, SC – Mrs. Madgie “Madge” Ruth Crawford Wade, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2021. Mrs. Wade was born in Liberty, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Clifton Crawford and Lela Belle Alexander Crawford and wife of the late Theo Mattison (Frosty) Wade.
Survivors include her son Roger E. Wade and daughter Diane Wade Bivens of Easley, South Carolina along with grandchildren: Jason Wade, Erin Ferguson and Kate Bivens. Also surviving are great grandchildren Justen Wade, MeKenzie Wade and Scarlet Claire Ward. Mrs. Wade is survived by one brother Harold Clifton Crawford of Liberty, South Carolina.
Mrs. Wade is predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Wade was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and flowers. She enjoyed going to Edisto Island for vacations and to her winter home in Florida. She was a woman of great service to others. She will be very much missed by her family.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, South Carolina. 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy. Pickens, South Carolina 29671.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
