Mrs. Edens was born on March 28, 1958 to the late William Alvin and Margaret Faye Cantrell Morton. She spent most of her life as a dedicated homemaker, and that was shown throughout her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Raising her children, she enjoyed taking them on numerous fishing trips and loved to ride with them in the car, especially through the mountains or on an old dirt road. A gardener, she enjoyed the time spent outdoors and even enjoyed being out in the rain. Most of all, Spending the Holiday season with all of her family and friends was the happiest times of her life, and she enjoyed baking them treats and cooking meals for the whole family.
In addition to her loving husband of 46 years, Mrs. Edens is survived by her three daughters: Kimberly Dawn Edens Swafford (Richard) of Liberty, Dena Michelle Edens Franco (Manuel) of Williamston, and Amanda Dee Edens of Williamston; her five grandchildren: Dustin Phillip Patterson, Wade Allen Patterson, Brandon Patrick Patterson, Antonion Manuel Franco, and Michael Alvin Cannan Melendez; a friend: Caleb; and her two great-grandchildren: Peyton Arizona Patterson and Gracelyn Patterson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edens was preceded in death by two sisters: Judy Lynn Morton Brissey and Norma Jean Morton Swafford; and a grandson: Raiden Jacob Melendez.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Saturday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence.
