Mary was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on May 25, 1930, to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Vogel Palmer. She proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict surviving under General MacArthur in Japan. Mary loved to play music, making stain glass art, photography, and working outside in the garden. She enjoyed serving her Lord at church, reading her Bible and was a true prayer warrior.
She is survived by her three children: Renee Watson , Timothy "Tim" G. Dawes (Mary), and James "Jim" P. Dawes (Ivy); five grandchildren: Dr. Melissa Giacci, John Michael Clock Jr., Jamin Dawes (Vanessa), Joel Dawes, and Christa Hawbaker (Brian); and eleven great-grandchildren: Arielle Giacci, Alexis Dawes, Blayne Dawes, Hayven Dawes, Rayla Dawes, Rogue Taylor, Raden Taylor, Micaiah Hawbaker, Ezekiah Hawbaker, Dezekiah Hawbaker, and Seriah Hawbaker.
The family will hold at memorial service at M.J. Dolly Cooper at a later date.
