Mary Jo Pickel, 80, wife of the late Donald B. Pickel of Easley, South Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2026. She was born on February 28, 1946, a daughter of the late Donald LaVern and Mary Watson Martin. She was retired from the School District of Pickens County as a Media Center Assistant and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Rodney (Gay) of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Robert (Pam) of Easley, South Carolina and a daughter, Aimee Mohler (Mike) of Flowery Branch, Georgia; six grandchildren: Wil (Rachel), Tim (Tiffany), Nate (Cecilia), Christopher (Mary Marshall), Abigail (Isak) and Macie (Jason); three great grandchildren: Cooper, Finn, and Scout.
A service will be held at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina on April 11, 2026. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:50 am in the sanctuary, prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, South Carolina.
