Minnie Lucille Futrell

Mrs. Futrell was born in Oakdale, Tennessee on July 16, 1934 to the late Huse and Phema Davis Howard. She worked for many years with the Dunean Mill before retiring and then began working for Shepherds Care as a Caregiver. Mrs. Futrell was a devoted Christian woman, who read her Bible everyday. One of her proudest accomplishments was being able to read the entire Bible within one year. Mrs. Futrell was a loving, caring, hard working woman who loved everyone and always welcomed friends and visitors into her home. She loved her family and friends, and was a devout prayer warrior. Mrs. Futrell was a member of Jones Hill Church of God.

In addition to her loving husband of 41 years, Mrs. Futrell is survived by her three children: Michael Futrell of Liberty, Teresa Cox (Alan) of Walhalla, and Sandra Mobley (Kenny) of Liberty; eight grandchildren: Kimberly York (Michael), Jonathan Cox, Leah Monroe, Chris Elliott, Kirk Dockery, Jr., Candace Moore, Josh Elliott, and Jeremiah Ball; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings: Vecie Futrell (Herschel) of Easley, and David Howard (Brenda) of Dacusville, and numerous special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Futrell was preceded in death by four siblings: Lilly Turner, Virginia Childers, Ernie Howard, and Loretta Hester.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Jones Hill Church of God in Marietta with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM on Saturday, prior to the service, at the Church.
