Myra was born in Huntington, Indiana and grew up in Waynesboro, VA. She married her Ronnie and followed him around the world in the Army, making every duty station “home” for the family.
Myra was a woman of deep faith and believed in the power of prayer. Everyone she encountered was introduced to her Jesus. She served faithfully in many areas of the church throughout her lifetime and was truly an example of a faithful servant. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, volunteering at WTBI radio station. She also attended Mt Pisgah Baptist Church with her daughter and family.
She is survived by her three children Heather Hatchett (Brian), Shane Wiseman (Stephanie) and Dusty Holbrooks (Scott). She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Justin Howard (Miles) of Atlanta, Sam Wiseman of Cincinnati, Kaitlyn Hatchett of Piedmont and Nick Wiseman of Cincinnati. She is also survived by a great granddaughter May-Belle of Piedmont who drank morning and afternoon coffee with “Mawmaw” while learning Bible stories and songs about Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her sister Millie Campbell (Bob). Survived by a brother, Mike Ditton of Spartanburg, a sister, Melissa Meeks (Larry) of Waynesboro, Virginia and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She loved her Jesus, her Ronnie, her family, her church and Wheel of Fortune. Every weekday at 7pm you would find her watching the wheel.
Everyone had room at her table, and she treated those God put in her path as family. Throughout her lifetime and all over the world, she became oma, grandma, mother, friend and sister in Christ to so many and was a prayer warrior on their behalf. She truly lived out her faith for all to see. Her goal in life was to make heaven crowded, and she was bold in that mission.
Her faith has become sight, her body is now healed, and she is with her Savior.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3931 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611. A visitation will follow after the service.
