
Rebecca (Beckie) Stewart Salley, 74, of Duluth, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Seneca, SC to the late Kathleen C. Stewart and Robert S. Stewart. A 1960 graduate of Seneca High School, she continued her education at Winthrop University and Greenville Medical Secretarial School. Prior to her illness, she was employed by MDI Group, Atlanta. Beckie was well-loved and respected by all who knew her. Gracious, meticulous and warm, she was affectionately referred to as "Miss Beckie" by colleagues and friends alike. Queen of the kitchen, she could often be found creating delicious Southern dishes and enjoying the simple pleasures of home life. Survivors include two children, Stacey S. Wagner, of Salley, SC and Stewart G. Salley of Salem, South Dakota; Grandchildren, Andrew Wagner, Daniel Salley, Kristen Strock, Warren Salley and several greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by beloved sisters Dolores S. Ogletree (Jim) of Canton, GA and twin sister Roberta (Bobbie) S. Goettee of Duluth, GA; nieces Laurie Carroll and Jen Mageau; nephews Tim Ogletree and Joel Wells. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016, 11 A.M., at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home, Pickens, SC. Dr. James M. Pitts will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
