On April 3, 1955 the world was graced with the presence of a baby who would one day become an amazing father, a loyal husband, and a generous loving spirit to all. Richard Bolt Bolding Jr started life humbly, married his best friend, started a family, graduated college at Greenville Technical College, started a long career at WGGS TV 16 Dove Broadcasting, and lived a life of love. Richard loved others and was a friend to many. He was an avid Star Trek and Dr Who fan, never missing an episode of either. He loved old records, comic books, and coin collecting. Best of all, he had a witty sense of humor and a huge heart that he passed on to his four children. He inspired the imaginations of his children and taught them how be curious and explore the unknown. Richard left this world and entered into eternal grace on May 16, 2015. He may not inhabit his earthly body any more, but he will be with all those who loved him through memories and shared moments. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Cornelia and Richard Bolding Sr and his sister Sandra. He is survived by his wife Betty Sue “Susie” Masters Bolding, his son John Christopher Bolding, his daughter Christina Ruth Bolding Todd and her husband Jason McCormick Todd, his son David Paul Bolding and his wife Susan Grace “Suzie” Hoffman Bolding, and his son Joshua Adam Bolding. He is also survived by his grand-daughter, the apple of his eye, Colysta Ziv Bolding, daughter of David Paul and Susan Grace “Suzie” Bolding. He is survived by one brother Michael, two sisters Patricia and Gwen, and stepmother Ingrid. Services will be held on Monday May 18, 2015 in the theater of the Miracle Building at East Pickens Baptist Church. A reception will take place from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM and will be followed by a service at 5:30 PM. The address of the church is 2244 Gentry Memorial Highway Pickens SC 29671.
