Robert Joseph Gibson, 42, husband of Sha Holcombe Gibson of Pickens, passed from this life on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Robert was born in Greenville County, son of Jan Hayes Lucas and the late Roy Joe Gibson. He was formerly employed with Pickens County in the Assessor’s Office and The Cliffs Communities. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Hollywood, FL. Robert was an avid fan of The University of South Carolina athletics. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Sha Holcombe Gibson of the home, his mother and step-father, Jan and George Lucas of Simpsonville and his grandmother, Doris M. Hayes of Greenville. Robert is also survived by his furry babies Sassy, Toby, Sunny, Sadie, and Snowy. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.
