

Rose was born on April 6, 1939, in Alexandria, Louisiana, daughter of the late Philip and Margaret D'Orazio Yerby. Her innovative personality and appreciation of beauty inspired the opening of her business, Shabby and Chic Interiors in Pickens, SC, which she owned and operated for thirteen years. Her nurturing personality resonated in her beautiful garden, gorgeous home and thriving family. Rose was the matriarch of her family, a constant caregiver and always happy and smiling. She was an avid reader and enthusiastically followed politics.
Surviving are husband of 55 years, Robert Borchers; five children, Julie Edwards, David Edwards (Beatrice Jara-Almonte), Jennifer Borchers (Patrick Timothy Yerby), Jayne Kloth (James) and Jill Kloth (Todd); one brother, Oliver Yerby; two sisters, Peggy Holmes and Kathleen Bowling. Rose also leaves behind to cherish her memory, nine grandchildren, Gabrielle, Zoe, Alexander, Joshua, Harrison, Bailey, Madison, Gunnar and Garrett. She was preceded in death by four brothers, George Yerby, Patrick Yerby, Philip Yerby and Michael Yerby, and one sister, Agnes Shelton.
Services for Rose, will be private. The family would like to express their gratitude for the support and prayers during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the Borchers family encourages everyone to make memorials to their favorite organization in memory of Rose.
