

Samuel Paul Cheek went home to be with his Lord Saturday, March 2, 2019in Easley, SC where he has lived since 1973. He was born on February 25, 1943 in Belton, SC to the late Harold Jefferson Cheek and Virginia Inez Timms Cheek Whitten. He leaves a wife 46 years Linda Gale Smith Cheek.
Survivors include his dearly loved children; Tina Jones (Mark), Traci Duncan, Cheyenne (Crystal) Cheek, Danny Cheek all of Easley, SC, Kellie (Robin) Harris of Liberty, SC, David (Barbara) Cheek of Williamston, SC and Debbie Cheek (Vinnie) Reidy of Anderson, SC. Six granddaughters and seven grandsons, four great- grandsons and two great grand daughters, two sisters; Martha Ann Goldsmith of Winder, GA and Fay (Robert) Davis of Elberton ,GA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers; Gene Cheek and Roger Cheek of Anderson Co, SC and one sister; Frances Cheek Loftis of Calhoun Falls, SC.
He retired from the United States Of America Army with 21 years of service and retired after 27 years from Duke Energy, Oconee Nuclear Station as a Maintenance Planer. He was a life member of Bates Masonic Lodge #189. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church in Easley, SC.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2019 12pm until 1:45pm at Jones Avenue Baptist Church in Easley. Funeral service will follow at 2:30pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC.
