Shirley Meece Powell

Mrs. Powell was born in Transylvania, NC on May 20, 1939 to the late Jesse E. and Reba A. Raines Meece. She was a dedicated employee of Belk's Department Store in Easley for over 30 years. Mrs. Powell enjoyed walking, visiting friends and neighbors, reading, and helping others. A loving mother and grandmother, she was the oldest of her 8 siblings which made her a caring sister.

Mrs. Powell is survived by a daughter: Sandra Williams (Rob) of Elgin, SC; a grandson: Spencer Williams of Elgin, SC; and seven siblings: Bill Meece of Pickens, Harrison Meece of Pickens, Hoyt Meece of Pickens, Carolyn Ross of Six Mile, Freda Wilkerson of Central, Mike Meece of Belton, and Tony Meece of Anderson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by a brother: Henry Meece.

A private family service will be held for Mrs. Powell.

Friends are welcome to stop by Dillard Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Monday, May 30, 2022 until Wednesday, June 1, 2022 to sign the register book.
