Tiffany Bailey passed peacefully in his sleep on January 23rd, 2025. Previous to his death he struggled with Parkinson’s, dementia, and memory loss. Tiffany was 81 years of age at the time of his passing. Tiffany was in hospice care at Achieve Rehabilitation in Anderson, South Carolina.
Tiffany is survived by his wife Andrea Bailey, his three sons (Bruce, Baynard, and Stephen), and five grandchildren (Keyonndra, Lee, Azalea, Samuel, and Zinnia).
Tiffany was the son and only child of Carl Bailey Sr. and Elizebeth Bailey Fithian. Tiffany graduated from Bridgeton HS in 1961 and then went on to study Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tiffany worked for some years at Good Housekeeping and then later on went to work for General Electric in Schenectady for twenty-five years.
Later in his career Tiffany embraced his love of music through extensive volunteering with the Empire State Youth Orchestra. Tiffany was also a big fan of National Public Radio and Garrison Keillor, a passion he shared with family members by always having the radio playing when he was not listening to hockey or the Philly’s.
Tiffany, Tiff to his loved ones and friends, was a dedicated spouse and family man. His earnings put food on the table, provided for college educations and family vacations. He was very handy around the house and with the family cars and kept things running with his various fixes. His favorite repair method was a pipe clamp.
Tiffany was good in a crisis. He once saved his adopted daughter Bonnie Dee’s life at the dinner table. She was silently choking on a hot dog, and before the rest of the family really realized what was happening, Tiff plucked the meat from her throat.
Tiffany lived over fifteen years in Esperance. He commuted to GE and the family were regular members of Schenectady First United Methodist Church. In 1985, the family moved to Alplaus, NY. Some of his favorite times were excursions onto the Alplaus Kill and the Mohawk River on the “party barge” with friends from church.
Tiff and Andrea lived about fifteen years in Alplaus before moving to Thornton, PA to help care for Andrea's ailing parents. Whilst there, Tiff worked as a postal clerk.
Tiffany had the remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. He was kind and well-liked everywhere.
For their retirement years, Tiff and Andrea relocated to Seneca, SC. As Andrea’s mobility decreased, Tiff took care of her. When his health declined, he was moved into Achieve Rehabilitation and Andrea joined him.
Andrea would love to hear from friends and family at
