Edna Dalton Goodman

Edna Goodman passed away on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at the home of her daughter Shirley J. Cielensky in Charleston, WV at the age of 96. She was the oldest daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Dalton. Edna was born on January 27, 1919 in Pineville, WV. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Beauman Goodman, her parents and seven brothers and sisters: Robert, Jr, Johnny, Bill, Edwin, Jack, Mary Lee, and Joan. In addition, Edna was preceded in death by her beloved son-in-law Joseph L. Cielensky, Sr. and her grandson Joseph L. Cielensky, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Shirley Goodman Cielensky and Judy Schilling of Kentucky. In addition she is survived by her Grandchildren Leigh Anne Cielensky and her husband Mark Boggs, Vicki Cielensky-Holstein and her husband Mark Holstein, and Kelly Cielensky, Steve Schilling and Lisa Schilling. Great- Grandchildren include Jason Cielensky Holstein, Justen Cielensky Holstein, Jordan Cielensky Holstein, Britani (Cielensky) Wright and her husband Adam Wright, Briena Cielensky Wilson and Rachel Schilling. Edna is also survived by one Great-Great Grandchild Carwyn Schilling. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 Friday, February 6, 2015 with visitation one hour prior at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, in Pineville, WV with the Rev. Evan Arkell officiating. Burial will be at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Special thank you to a dear family friend Patty Hastings for her love, friendship, and unique bond with Edna. The Cielensky family greatly appreciates the kindness and loving care of Hospice and Hubbard House.
