Lea Shawn Strickland

Lea Strickland, 42 of New Richmond passed away December 4, 2014 from a sudden illness Born November 16, 1972 at Welch, she was the daughter of Frankie Ward Compton of Wyoming and the late Michael Compton She enjoyed playing softball and being with her family and friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Strickland, a son, Steven Michael Strickland; a brother Lonnie Michael Compton; a sister, Madge Compton; grandfather, Don Hall a uncle, Erby Hall and grandparents, Lonnie and Madge Compton Survivors include her mother, Frankie Ward Compton of Wyoming A son, Levi Connors of Oceana 2 brothers, Billy Hall of Pineville and Steven Michael Compton of Wyoming 4 sisters, Eva, Sierra, and Kayla Compton of Wyoming Rosemary Ward of Beckley Her grandmother, Mommy Mary Hall of Pineville A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Michael Knotts officiating.
