Roger Eugene Lester

Roger Eugene Lester, 66 of Brenton, went home to be with the Lord December 24, 2014 at 5:15 a.m. in Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness. Roger was born June 28, 1948 at Keyrock, WV There to greet him was his mother, Edith Mae Brooks Lester, brother, Randall “Ranny”, and Calvin H. Lester, “Jr.”, and nephew Sam Lucky Blankenship. Those awaiting the family reunion are his son, Joshua L. Lester, and companion Randy Lawrence, a daughter Sarah Elizabeth, and husband Ryan Blackburn, and son Blake Evan, father, Calvin H. Lester Sr., sisters Barbara and husband Roger E. Oliver, son Jasin. Lillian “Patsy” and husband Robert Fairley, sons Terry Lyn and Shawn Hagy, a brother, William and wife Donna, son Billy and daughter Samantha Lester. Along with a host of family and friends including a special cousin he called “Bro” Harry Lee Brooks. Brother-in-law Carson Blankenship and sons Steve, Billy, and Chris. A special daughter Tara Cline. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held Mon. December 29, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Calfee Funeral Service with Rev. Lee Fischer officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00 pm until service time, Monday at the Funeral Home.
