

Annamarie Finucan, born on May 11, 1944, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 81. Known for her cherished and selfless nature, Annamarie touched the lives of many with her gentle, compassionate, and devoted spirit.
Growing up on the North Side, Annamarie attended Oliver High School before embarking on a career in healthcare. Following high school, she began working at Allegheny General Hospital as a nursing assistant. Her exceptional care and dedication were recognized by a VIP patient, who sponsored her nursing education. Annamarie completed her LPN certification and became a full-time nurse at AGH. Dedicated to furthering her skills, she eventually acquired her Nursing Degree at CCAC and became a certified Registered Nurse.
Annamarie's life was deeply rooted in family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gladys and Regis Scafede. Annamarie was a devoted mother to Joe Finucan (Beth) and Diana Radford. She is also survived by her sister Joyce Foltz and her niece Georgette Scafede. Her presence remains in the hearts of her grandchildren, Emma and Owen Finucan, and Gary, Brooke, and Heidi Radford. Preceded in death by her siblings, Delores Baker, Audrey Russel, Kathy Ruzomberka, and Regis "Bud" Scafede Jr., her family continues to celebrate her life and legacy.
Outside of her professional commitments, Annamarie found joy in cooking, flower gardening, and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing and creating costumes and blankets for her family. She was a pet mom to many beloved pets, including Sam the Cat, where her patience and compassion extended beyond humans.
Annamarie's hard-working and beloved presence will be remembered by all who knew her. Her selfless contributions have left an indelible mark on the world and will continue to inspire those who follow in her footsteps.
Friends will be received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on Thursday February 5th from 11AM- 1 with a service following at 1.
