Dr. Charles Gorman, 84, of McCandless Twp, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford; Charles was the loving father of Charles E. (Marci) Gorman and James Gorman; loving grandfather of Molly and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his bride of 50 years, Patricia; he was the son of the late Charles and Mae Gorman. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Naomi and JoAnn and brother John (Dagmar) and many nieces and nephews. Charles has earned many accolades in his journey in the field of education from graduating from Cal U in 1957, WVU in 1960 and attaining his Doctorate of Education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1967. He retired in June of 2006 with the status of Associate Professor of Emeritus of Administrative and Policy Studies in the School of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Friends are invited to gather with the family on Saturday from 2 – 4 at the H. P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, 412-364-4444 where a Funeral Service will be held at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
