Donald C. Andrezjwski

Don Andrezjwski age 90, formally of Millvale, PA, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Rose Marie (Gringere) Andrezjwski. He leaves behind his children Karen (Robert) Ford, Don (Donna) Andrezjwski and Scott (Nancy) Andrezjwski. He is the step-grandfather of Kenzie Ellis and Conor Butts. The son of the late Joseph Andrezjwski and Jessie (Witkowski) Roper and Stepfather John Roper. Brother of the late Joseph Andrezjwski and Gerald Roper. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Don was retired from the VA Hospital on Highland Drive. Don was very proud of his Polish Heritage and extremely proud of serving our country in the United States Army. Don was assigned to the 1st Division "THE BIG RED ONE" where he was stationed in Germany. He drove the "Patton Tank" and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Don loved his Pittsburgh sports teams and never missed watching a Steeler or Penguin game. He loved to Dance and was a regular each Wednesday night at the Northside Elks where he enjoyed listening to and dancing to the music of the Banjo Club. He was a very active member of the Millvale VFW POST #118. He served as Post Commander for 3 years and Quartermaster for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion for 60 years.

Don was a member of the Knights of Columbus and earned the rank of Forth Degree, the highest degree of the order. Don also was involved in local politics. He served on Borough Council in the Borough of Millvale for many years and was President of Borough Council for several years.

Friends and family are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on April 12, 2023, from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on April 13, 2023, at 10AM at Saints John and Paul Church 2586 Wexford Bayne Road Sewickley PA 15143. Full Military Honors will follow at church. Burial will be private at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
