Doris M Jones

Doris May Jones, 86, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, went to heaven peacefully on February 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 13, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Doris was a proud Pittsburgh native who lived a life full of love and curiosity.

She was known for her deep devotion to family and her passion for reading, often staying up late into the night until she finished a book. Doris dedicated herself to raising her family and nurturing those around her. She held various positions and was last employed at McCandless Township Sanitary Authority in the administrative office.

She leaves behind her son, Jeffrey B. Jones (Michelle), her grandchildren, Amy K Jones (Jamie) and Nicklas M. Jones (Nicole) and her great-grandchildren; Arianna, Breana, Jacob, Madison, and Rylee. We will always remember her gentle spirit, unwavering support, and terrific sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman W. Jones, and her son, Norman W. Jones Jr.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A private burial will follow on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to her favorite charity the St Jude Children's Hospital.
