Dorothy "Dot" H. Smith Piotrowski

Dorothy “Dot” Piotrowski, age 87, of Ross Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2017. She joyfully joined her husband of sixty-three years, Anthony T. Piotrowski who died this past spring, April 1, 2017.

Born in Pittsburgh to the late Charles and Armella Smith on June 22, 1930, she was the beloved mother of Dianne (John) Bohaychick of New Kensington, Richard (Nancy) Piotrowski of Wexford and Donna Sassic of Cranberry; cherished grandmother of Lisa (Rob) Stoebener, Ashley (Mark) Husarik, Jeff (Brittany) Piotrowski, Dr. Matt Piotrowski, Jamie (Dr. Marcus) Magister and Taylor Bohaychick and great-grandmother of her precious Dylan and Ethan Husarik. Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Armella Schuessler (surviving husband, Walter). She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Dot also worked at the former LaMantia Produce. She enjoyed music, dancing, entertaining, cooking, baking, but most of all, time spent with her family - especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., (Ross Township), 412-364-4444. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Athanasius Church, West View, 7 Chalfonte Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15229. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband.
